A New Journey

By Joba,

There are moments in life that rewrite everything; quietly, completely, and beautifully. For me, that moment arrived in late 2025, when we welcomed our daughter into the world.

Life has shifted in the most meaningful way imaginable. And with it, so has my relationship with travel. But here is what I want you to know: this is not the end of PerfectPaths. This is an evolution, and honestly, one I think many of you will relate to more deeply than anything I have shared before.

What Changes When You Become a Parent

Before becoming a mother, travel for me meant spontaneous bookings, packed itineraries, and the freedom to pivot at any moment. I could hop on a flight with 48 hours notice. I could spend an entire day wandering a city with no plan. I could sacrifice sleep for a sunrise hike without a second thought.

Motherhood changes the equation, not negatively, but profoundly. Suddenly, travel requires more thought. More planning. More intentionality. And I have come to realize that this is not a limitation, but a superpower.

The New Definition of Adventure

For me, this season is about expanding the definition of adventure. Adventure does not disappear when you have a baby. It transforms. A weekend road trip to a nearby town becomes an exploration. A slow morning at a local cafe in a new city becomes a memory.

What PerfectPaths Will Look Like From Here

Travel will remain at the heart of this space, just in a slightly different form: more intentional planning, slower travel, and a greater focus on making travel fit real life, rather than the other way around.

Here is what you can still expect from PerfectPaths:

  • Easy-to-follow travel guides and itineraries designed for real people with real schedules
  • Practical travel planning tips for 9-to-5ers, parents, and people with full lives
  • Weekend getaways and short trip ideas that do not require weeks of annual leave
  • Slow travel inspiration for those who want depth over distance
  • Honest advice on balancing travel with everyday responsibilities
  • Family-friendly travel ideas as this new chapter unfolds

There are some journeys that change everything. This one – becoming a mother – has been my biggest yet. And I cannot wait to navigate it with you.

Safe travels,

Joba
